Future utopias are deeply described here in this video, but I feel that Kurzweil is down playing the disadvantages of the developments of technology.
It is a very good clip to watch after having watched ‘Bladerunner’ or having read ‘Neuromancer’. Instead of making the familiar strange, as with the uncanny (see Bayne, forethcoming 2o10), immersing oneself in science fiction and then watching Kurzweil makes the strange familiar.
